Please note: Outdoor activities take place in a dynamic, natural environment that can be challenging as well as rewarding – please be prepared.  We reserve the right to amend a tour due to adverse weather/sea conditions.

• Beautiful Birding & Botany, Ulva Island half day guided walk: payment is preferred prior to trip to Ulva Island. Credit card facilities are available at our booking office, The Fernery Gallery and Gift Shop, 20 Main Street, Stewart Island.
• Please telephone the previous evening to re-confirm your trip or visit Ulva’s Guided Walks booking office at 20 Main Road, Stewart Island - The Fernery Gallery & Gift Shop
• Child policy: Child rates are for children up to 12 years of age
• Birding Bonanza: please send your credit card details to secure your booking at least 30 days prior to your activity date.

Cancellation policy

In the event of a cancellation to your booking:

- less than 15 days notice to Ulva's Guided Walks, no refund will be made
- more than 15 days notice to Ulva's Guided Walks, a 75% refund will be made 

If Ulva's Guided Walks cancels an activity due to inclement weather conditions or minimum numbers are not achieved, a full refund will be made.

Ulva's Guided Walks booking office - The Fernery Gallery & Gift Shop

Ulva’s Guided Walks' booking office is on 20 Main Road, Oban, Stewart Island, opposite the Department of Conservation building.  The Fernery Gallery & Gift Shop is where all clients may make prior payments for their activities.  The Fernery has a unique and extensive selection of New Zealand products including a range of natural history books as well as etchings, prints and photography from local and New Zealand artists.
