
Port William Guided Walk "Bush – Birds – Beach – History"
This unique half day guided walk (4-5 hours) combines the best of what Stewart Island has to offer. Starting with a 20 minute water taxi to Port William, a historic Maori and early sealing site, you will have the opportunity to see a variety of seabirds.
Once arrived at Port William our guide will lead you along the coastline through native bush and you will hear the stories of early Maori and European settlers. The other facet of the guided walk is interpretation of the flora and fauna of Stewart Island as you walk through stunning scenery. A variety of native birds can be seen.
